To learn more visit us at The Supervisor of Supply Chain Planning will lead the daily local and regional supply chain planning activities (SNP, PPDS, MRP) for specific plants or product categories, delivering and continually improving the day-to-day information, cross functional business process alignment, decision making and execution of supply chain planning in a fact based, timely, and action-oriented manner. As the leader of a specific supply chain group, you will seek to understand the uniqueness and constraints of your specific product and/or category and the commonality of fundamental supply chain and planning processes and tools and leverage that understanding to deliver to our customers on a daily basis, ensuring integration of activities within the Supply Chain group and cross functionally within Saputo. How You Will Make Contributions That Matter Day to Day: Responsible for delivering manufacturing schedules and material replenishment plans that meet targeted inventory positions, and customer fulfilment targets, within the constraints of capacity and product shelf life for your specific area of responsibility (MRP, PPDS, SNP), product, or category. Your focus will be on achieving customer fulfilment at lowest total Saputo cost and resolving day-to-day issues or recommending improvements.
Integrated Planning: Supply planning is central to coordinating activities across operating functions. To achieve this, you will guide your team in correct application of all planning modules, tools and planning principles for greatest positive impact to Saputo and constantly champion and lead effective cross functional communications and cross-training amongst all members of the planning team and cross-functional contacts.
Information and Controls: For your product, category, and/or location of responsibility, you will ensure daily review and application of key Saputo performance metrics, reporting tools, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent process execution. Through common metrics, ensure appropriate processes and controls are being followed or identify key process exceptions and lead improvement initiatives within you area of responsibility to resolve non-conformance. You and your working group will provide a single source of information and guidance for all integrated planning activities under your responsibility.
Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvement based on business requirements, metrics, and impact analyses. Develop and implement supply risk mitigation plans and cross training to ensure continuity of supply and service.
People Management: Supply planning is highly cross functional, requiring application of technical and business principles and distributed decision making by all planners. You will continually develop the technical and cross functional coordination skills of your direct reports, linking people directly to effective processes and enabling them through training, guidance, and support. You should have expertise in at least one planning function (MRP, SNP, PPDS) and, for this role, you will seek to engage other Subject Matter Experts to fully develop your own skills and those of the planners on your team in all three planning functions. You Are Best Suited for The Role If You---. A degree in Business, Operations Management, Business Technology, related field, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in Supply, Demand or Financial Planning (dairy and/or CPG industry, preferred).
Supervisory experience, managing both on site and remotely.
Varied work experience in a CPG company or previous experience in Saputo.
Expertise in one or more planning disciplines (SNP, PPDS, MRP) within an integrated planning system.
Experience with an integrated ERP planning system (SAP-APO preferred).
Demonstrated skills influencing without authority and project management skills are required.
Passionate about problem solving and business process alignment.
The ability to see the big picture, but also learn and excel in the details.
Demonstrated experience developing direct reports (training, documentation).
Experience working with and communicating to all levels of the organization.
