Job Description:

Must have experience preparing JC Forms and declarations in family law proceedings. Must possess knowledge of calendaring. Must have experience in Family Law financial disclosures. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must be reliable and consistent with showing up to work, on time. Must be able to track and bill time. Responsibilities include: Manage, organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems.Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney's calendar and monitoring court appearance dates and billing time. Must be flexible and able to multitask. Able to conserve time spent by attorney by reading, researching, reviewing, verifying, and routing correspondence, reports and legal documents; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications; organizing client meetings.Able to follow-up on delegated assignments; ability to use judgment to fix issues and know when to refer matters to attorney.It is extremely important that you have the ability to maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential.Willing to learn to research regulations, laws and rules to assist with the preparation of case files. Qualifications: Strong organizational skills, tact, diplomacy, positive attitude, and desire to work as a team for the benefit of clients. High School Diploma, GED, Associate's degree, or a paralegal certificate 5 years' experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary or paralegal Detail-oriented and highly organized Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor Ability to use standard office equipment such as copy machines, multi-line telephones, fax machines. Ability to use a personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, and you must be comfortable learning other software programs.
