Bakersfield, California, 93301! Job Title: Registered Nurse -
Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 8 weeks
Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred
acute care facility experience License: Required Registered Nurse
(RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Required
CPR or BLS certification Must-Have: Required Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) certification Must-Have: Required Pediatric Advanced
Life Support (PALS) certification Description: Delivers coordinated
nursing care for patients according to established standards of
care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities
of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with
other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and
professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient
care. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or
situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care
issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain
outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery.
Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes
for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the
team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing
patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family
members, and team members. Directly provides health information to
patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in
discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates
appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned. The department
provides triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency
patients in an acute care setting. Hours and expenses related to
triage and treatment of trauma patients are included, but related
administrative support hours and expenses are not included. 5
