Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation services team. The chosen candidate will play a critical role in providing expert speech therapy services, focusing on patients recovering from major health events such as strokes and injuries. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in patients, aiming to help them regain their independence and improve their quality of life. Assess and diagnose patient’s speech, language, and swallowing difficulties, devising appropriate treatment plans. Implement standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of communication disorders. Provide therapy interventions using evidence-based techniques suited to individual patient needs. Educate family members or caregivers on patient communication strategies and therapies. Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with state and facility regulations. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate team interventions. Strong understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle a diverse patient caseload. Proficiency in the use of medical software for speech therapy. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Speech Language Pathologist license. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
