Job Description Nightingale's List is seeking a travel Correctional RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for a travel job in Corcoran, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 24 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Overview: Join our healthcare team at this Correctional Facility as a Registered Dietitian, where you’ll play a critical role in assessing and managing the nutritional needs of inmates. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support patient health through clinical nutrition in a secure and collaborative environment. Qualifications: Must hold a current and valid registration as a Registered Dietitian through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) for practice in California. A minimum of 12 continuous months of recent, relevant experience within the last 3 years in a comparable clinical setting (internships not applicable). Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken, to ensure accurate documentation and effective communication. Responsibilities: Provide medical nutrition therapy based on physician orders and institutional protocols. Conduct nutrition assessments and follow-up counseling for diverse clinical conditions, including diabetes, renal disease, and chronic illness. Develop and adjust individualized dietary care plans and therapeutic diets in collaboration with interdisciplinary care teams. Participate in treatment planning, staff training, and food service oversight to ensure safe, evidence-based dietary practices. Ensure compliance with Title 22, food safety standards, and institutional dietary policies. Prepare reports documenting patient care, nutrition outcomes, and recommendations for dietary program improvement.
