Job Responsibilities of the Cardiac Cath Lab/IR Radiology Lead Technologist:

• Performs diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures, and radiographic procedures using prescribed positions, technical factors and immobilization devices as required and is responsible for the quality of the images.
  
• Delivers direct patient care and is responsible for the assessment, treatment, or care appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
  
• Orders and maintains a complete inventory of supplies for Cath Lab needs.
  
• Performs Angiography tests and Diagnostic Cardiac procedures according to protocol.
  
• Utilizes sterile techniques as needed. Prepares sterile trays for procedures.
  
  Minimum Job Requirements for the Cardiac Cath Lab/IR Radiology Lead Technologist:
  
  Must have and maintain current Licensure as a Diagnostic Radiological Technician and Fluoroscopy in the State of California.
  Must have and maintain ARRT Certification.
  Must have and maintain BLS Certification or obtain it within the orientation process, prior to hands-on patient care.
  Two (2) years of experience in Interventional Radiology/Cardiac Cath Lab.
