Licensed Mental Health Clinician An ADP client is currently seeking a Licensed Mental Health Clinician to join the team in Tulare, CA (93274) Who we are: The Counseling & Psychotherapy Center, Inc (CPC) is an agency comprised of licensed clinicians and criminal justice professionals who operate specialized sex offender risk management, clinical, and therapeutic treatment programs in 80+ locations throughout 11 states. For over 30 years respectively, we have worked with convicted sex offenders to develop a community-based treatment and management program of the highest quality. Over the years clinicians and community corrections personnel have responded to the combination of criminal justice and clinical perspectives within our organization. This has enabled us to attract some of the most talented and experienced clinical and criminal justice staff in the field to work with us on our mission to reduce sexual victimization. We specialize in setting up these services in communities who express a need to reduce risks. Our clinicians are experts in this field and have learned how to support parole and probation in their supervision and decision-making regarding the high-risk sex offenders in the community. As an agency we have made a substantial investment in educating & training our clinical professionals and providing them with ongoing continuing professional development and weekly supervision. This proactive approach to training and supervising our staff helps to eliminate the biases clinicians develop while working closely with individual offenders. CPC has enjoyed tremendous growth in our programs due to offenders that need them. An exciting phenomenon for us is that our programs and offender management services and our ability to provide them at a price that makes them accessible to the agencies and offenders clientele through different layers of the criminal justice system. We have programs in state and county correctional institutions which flow into transitional programming and on into community-based management and treatment. Each additional layer in the vertical system improves the safety outcome. It is our goal to continue expanding our community safety programs in the states where we currently operate and into additional states and communities. About the role: The primary responsibilities of the Clinician will include the following: provide individual and group treatment, as well as conduct program orientation, intake screens and clinical assessments, in accordance with customer contacts; maintain adherence to the RULE treatment curriculum; complete thorough and timely documentation of services; work collaboratively with all CPC staff, including other clinicians, supervisors, and program managers and coordinators, as well as CPC customers; maintain adherence to CPC protocols, policies and procedures; and uphold professional values in the interest of protecting the client and the public. What you'll do: --- Conduct ongoing assessment, individualized treatment planning, group/individual therapy for persons convicted of sex offenses. --- Complete required assessments on clients assigned to caseload, including but not limited to actuarial and dynamic risk assessment, sexual interests, personality measures, cognitive and achievement tests. --- Prepare and maintain up-to-date web-based treatment files and clinical documentation. --- Work in an independent setting with strong organizational skills and rigorous attention to detail. --- Attend clinical trainings (CE---s provided) and containment meetings/supervisory meetings as required. --- Work closely and maintain a good working relationship with Probation and Parole. --- Adhere to professional and confidentiality requirements in handling client records. --- Obtain and maintain current Treatment Provider Certification through California Sex Offender Management Board (CASOMB) - CPC will provide training for certification. Our ideal candidate: Education and experience --- Master---s or Doctoral level degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a closely related field. --- Must have a valid LCSW, LPCC, LMFT or Psychologist license --- Understanding of risk management & mitigation principles --- CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing experience --- Clinical outpatient treatment experience and substantial focus on group facilitation --- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills --- Experience providing Sex Offender Treatment, DV or Substance Abuse Treatment --- Must be proficient in spoken English and Spanish Skills and abilities: --- Proficiency in computer skills to setup and use videoconferencing and other web-based technology --- Excellent written and oral communication skills --- Expectation to develop and maintain working interdisciplinary relationships with CPC colleagues, customers and criminal justice partners --- Ability to travel throughout the region or state What we offer: --- Salary commensurate with experience. --- Excellent benefits package offered.
