Job Details The Commercial Lines Manager is responsible for overseeing the commercial insurance department, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, policy accuracy, and staff performance. This role includes managing a team of account managers and support staff, overseeing workflow and productivity, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and clients. The Commercial Lines Manager drives operational efficiency and ensures adherence to regulatory and carrier guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of commercial lines account managers, account executives, and assistants. Manage the department’s book of business, ensuring retention, growth, and profitability. Oversee daily operations including new business quoting, renewals, endorsements, audits, certificates, and policy servicing. Review and enhance workflows, procedures, and service standards to improve efficiency and client satisfaction. Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and underwriters. Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and internal policies. Conduct regular training and professional development for team members. Support producers and senior leadership in achieving revenue and service goals. Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement or opportunity. Resolve escalated client or carrier issues promptly and effectively. Stay informed of market trends, carrier appetites, and industry developments. Qualifications: 10 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Active Property & Casualty insurance license (required). Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages including general liability, property, auto, workers' compensation, and excess liability. Proficiency with agency management systems (e.g., EPIC, AMS360, Applied TAM). Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
